These Terms of service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, mobile applications, and related services offered under the brand Trivora (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Interactive Knowledge Group Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, accessing the Service, or clicking to accept these Terms where prompted, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Interactive Knowledge Group Ltd is the legal entity you contract with. The Trivora name and branding identify our quiz platform and related products. References to "Trivora" in these Terms mean the Service unless the context requires otherwise. You can reach us for general enquiries through the Support or Contact pages on this website.
2. The Service
Trivora provides competitive quiz experiences, including but not limited to daily quizzes, practice and custom quizzes, head-to-head matches, live quiz sessions, tournaments, leaderboards, profiles, in-app currency, optional subscriptions or digital goods where available, and related social or community features. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice where practicable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service.
- If you are under the age at which you may lawfully consent to online services in your country (often 13, or higher where local law requires), you may not create an account unless your parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf and supervises your use.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account. Keep your login credentials confidential. Notify us promptly via Support if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You must provide accurate registration information. You may not impersonate others, misrepresent affiliation, or create multiple accounts to evade enforcement, manipulate rankings, or abuse promotions unless we expressly allow it.
4. Competitive integrity and conduct
Trivora is built around fair competition. You agree that you will not:
- Cheat, use unauthorised third-party tools, automation, bots, or anything that gives an unfair advantage in quizzes, matches, or live events.
- Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for personal gain; report serious issues through Support instead.
- Manipulate scores, leaderboards, matchmaking, referrals, rewards, or currency through fraud, collusion, or fake accounts.
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against other users, staff, or hosts; or publish unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content.
- Attempt to scrape, data-mine, or reverse engineer the Service except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
- Use the Service for spam, unsolicited advertising, pyramid schemes, or illegal purposes.
We may investigate suspected breaches, apply technical measures, remove content, void results, deduct or reset virtual balances, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate. Our decisions on competitive outcomes and enforcement are exercised in good faith but are not subject to appeal as a matter of contract; nothing in these Terms affects mandatory rights you may have under consumer law.
5. User content
You may submit or generate content through the Service (for example display names, chat or messages where available, custom quiz material, or feedback). You retain ownership of your content, but you grant Interactive Knowledge Group Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your content solely to operate, improve, promote, and secure the Service, including moderation and ranking display.
You represent that you have the rights to grant the above licence and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights. We may remove or restrict content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or harms the community. We are not obliged to monitor all content but may do so.
6. Virtual currency, digital goods, and subscriptions
The Service may include virtual currency ("Coins" or similar), cosmetic items, boosts, or other digital goods. Unless required by law, virtual currency and digital goods have no real-world monetary value, are non-transferable except as we expressly allow within the Service, and are not redeemable for cash.
Paid subscriptions or one-off purchases are processed by third-party payment providers. Prices, taxes, renewal terms, and cancellation rights are shown at the point of purchase and may be updated with notice where required. To the maximum extent permitted by law, fees are non-refundable except where mandatory law provides otherwise or we agree in writing.
We may change earn rates, prices, catalogue items, or benefits to balance the economy or comply with law. We do not guarantee that any particular reward or item will remain available indefinitely.
7. Live events, tournaments, and leaderboards
Scheduled live quizzes, tournaments, and leaderboard periods are subject to published or in-app rules, start times, and technical requirements. Disconnects, device failures, or third-party network issues may affect your participation; we are not liable for connectivity problems outside our reasonable control.
Prizes or promotions, if any, are governed by separate terms or announcements. We may disqualify entries that breach these Terms or promotion rules.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, branding, quiz content supplied by us, graphics, and documentation, is owned by Interactive Knowledge Group Ltd or its licensors. Except for the limited licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms, no rights are granted to you. You may not use our trademarks or logos without prior written consent.
9. Third-party services
The Service may integrate or link to third parties (for example authentication, hosting, analytics, or app stores). Their terms and privacy notices apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be secure, free of harmful components, or that quiz content will always be error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Interactive Knowledge Group Ltd and its directors, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Interactive Knowledge Group Ltd for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty pounds sterling (GBP £50), except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Interactive Knowledge Group Ltd from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we must comply with law, or if we cease offering the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.
14. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version and update the "Last updated" date. Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required by law (for example in-app or by email). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in another country you may benefit from mandatory protections of your local law that cannot be waived.
